Pronoun Etiquette

Like the newlyweds-to-be, many guests don't necessarily fit into standard boxes of sexual and gender identity. We invite you to include your pronouns when introduction yourself, and certainly encourage you to feel comfortable asking a guest if you are unsure which pronouns to use when addressing them. [Example: My name is James, my pronouns are he/him] Try not to dwell on mistakes. What really matters is we all try our best to be kind towards one another. Please join us in creating a joyous, inclusive, and welcoming environment for all attendees! As a reminder, these are the Pronouns of the Couple: Kacie: They/Them Tara: She/Her

Is there a vaccine requirement?

Answer

We ask that if you are able to get the COVID-19 vaccine and choose not to, or if you aren't fully vaccinated by the wedding date, that you please refrain from attending. The exception to this request is due to medical exemptions or age exemptions that prevent you from receiving the vaccine. This decision was not made lightly and is for the safety of both our guests and our venue staff and vendors.

How are you handling COVID-19?

Answer

All venues we are currently working with are following CDC and local state guidelines and regulations. HollyHedge Estate is taking extra steps to ensure that all staff receive daily temperature checks. Mask and gloves for all staff are required during the event. Currently, our ceremony is scheduled to be held outdoors. In the event of inclimate weather, the ceremony will be moved inside of the "Old Barn" - which currently does not have any additional filtering that we are aware of. The "New Barn", where our reception will be held has HEPA filters and an Air Scrubbing system installed to constantly filter clean air into the space. Heightened sanitation standards have been implemented in event locations, bathrooms, and kitchens. We will be working directly with our vendors to ensure safety during the event.

What is the dress code?

Our dress code is Cocktail Attire. We are also asking guests to please refrain from wearing the following colors to ensure that we and our Adventuring Party stand out on the day of the event: Maroon, sage green, and emerald green.

Can I bring my kids?

Answer

With the exception of Tara's niece and nephew, who will be taking part in the ceremony, we kindly ask that you do not attend with your children. Names of all invited will be clearly listed on your invitation envelopes. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to reach out to us.

Where are you going on your honeymoon?

Answer

Good question! Before the pandemic hit, we had our hearts set on a trip to Ireland and the UK. We are still planning on going there as soon as we can and it feels safe to do so, but in the meantime we are hoping to take a shorter vacation within driving distance, probably up to Rhode Island.
