*Kaci’s point of view* One late night at work I was writing up charts when Dr. Andy Wurst pops in to say good night. Before leaving he asks me “How do you feel about going on a blind date?”. Caught off guard and having no success with online dating I said, “I’m not opposed.” He then proceeds to tell me he has no guarantees we will get along but that it is probably better than the online scene and he would pass my number along to let him contact me. Two weeks later I finally got a text! *Craig’s point of view* It was late June in 2018 when Andy invited me on a canyon trip. Leaving at midnight heading for the edge the rest of the crew was sleeping in the beanbag chairs as Andy and I made conversation to keep each other awake for the 100 mile ride. “You’re single right? Want to go on a date with one of the doctors at BAC?” Was how it started. I was a bit caught off guard but said sure thing, figuring after 24 hours of fishing we’d probably both forget about it. Fast forward a day or so later and I was met with a text from Andy with a phone number for “Dr. Kaci” after a few texts we set up our blind date and as they say the rest is history. And she is still in my phone contacts as “Dr. Kaci”. Oh and we had a great topwater bluefin tuna bite on that trip too.
