Kacey grew up in CT and Tyler had moved between CT and TN a couple times in his young life. They had met briefly in high school through their overlapping friend groups. They even lived around the corner from each other. They never really spoke to each other at that time but that's a nice fun fact. As an adult, Tyler moved back to CT and worked on reconnecting with some people here and there. He ended up messaging Kacey (I'm sure he just thought she was cute) so they caught up and got to know each other a little better before deciding "hey I think we are friends now, lets hang out". After a few months they each found themselves both needing a new place to live and a roommate because, shocker, its near impossible to live alone in this state. They moved in together July 2018. It didn't take long for them to develop a much stronger relationship. And I really mean "it didn't take long". (They have a different answer every time they're asked) In June 2021 Tyler and Kacey went on their first real vacation together. They spent a few days in TN visiting friends and a few days in NC enjoying the beach. On June 16th, Tyler proposed to Kacey before dinner on the balcony, there were so many bugs they had to go eat inside right afterwards. Just their luck, it was their kind of perfect. Once the wedding day comes they will have been together for 4 and a half years. As they say, the beginning of forever.
