On 21 May 2021, we met at the Chinchilla Show. One of us had gone along solo, new to town and new to teaching, not knowing that a casual night out would change everything. The other stepped in at the bar, full of confidence, spunk and a bit of dutch courage under their belt and from that moment on, it just felt right. What started as an easy conversation grew into something steady and real. Before we knew it, we were building a life together, one centred around our four legged friends, farm life, long days, shared meals, and plenty of laughs with our friends. Our friends became family, and home became wherever we were together. Our life isn’t flashy, but it’s full. It’s muddy boots, weekends filled with sport, shared responsibilities, and choosing each other every day. Somewhere along the way, we stopped talking about the future and realised we were already living it. After finishing the 2025 wheat harvest, we took a well-earned break and escaped to Broadbeach. On 16 November 2025, Nick managed to get a few grains of sand on his knee and we got engaged, marking the next chapter in a life we had already chosen together. Now, as we get ready to be married, we feel incredibly grateful for the people who have supported us along the way. We can’t wait to celebrate with you and begin this next chapter together. Looking forward to seeing you on the 22nd of August! Love always, Kacey & Nick
