FAQs

Question

What is the dress code for your wedding?

Answer

Formal attire: We suggest guests wear a suit in any color or a cocktail dress.

Question

Is there a hotel block?

Answer

Yes, there’s actually two! Guests can choose to stay at the Intercontinental, which is the location of the reception, or guests can choose to stay at the Residence Inn, which is a less expensive option and only a short Uber ride away. Links are under the travel section of this website.

Question

Will there be transportation available?

Answer

There will be a bus transporting guests staying at The InterContinental to the church for the ceremony. Then the bus will take the guests from the church to the Wharf where the reception will be. We don’t recommend driving yourself to the church since there is very limited parking in the city.

Question

Am I allowed to bring a plus one?

Answer

If "and guest" or your plus-one's name is written on your wedding invitation, you can bring someone.

Question

Am I allowed to bring my children?

Answer

We love your children, but due to space restrictions we cannot accommodate guests under age 18 on our wedding day.

Question

Will there be a time gap between your wedding ceremony and reception?

Answer

Yes! We recommend guests head to the Wharf after the ceremony. There are plenty of restaurants and bars in the area within walking distance of the reception.

Question

Will there be an open bar?

Answer

Yes!

Question

Should I plan on driving around DC?

Answer

Drivers and traffic are unpredictable, and finding parking is challenging. We recommend Uber/Lyft or taking the Metro to get around.
