FAQs

Question

What is a Jaggo?

Answer

Jaago literally means to ”wake”. Traditionally, this is a pre-wedding event in Punjabi culture where all the neighbours are woken up to invite them out to party in celebration of the wedding. Don't worry, we won't wake you up from your beds but you are expected to party!

Question

What is a Mehndi & Sangeet?

Answer

“Sang” means together and “geet” means to sing, Sangeet literally translated to “sing together”. At this event we sing folk and contemporary songs associated with wedding celebrations, but there's no telling where we end up once the singing and dancing starts! We also invite all our guests to have mehndi done on their hands if they would like.
