In today's "traditional" method, Kevin and Danielle first met online through the dating app Hinge. It was the peak of the COVID pandemic. Danielle had just moved home from Boston after finishing PA school, and Kevin had just been furloughed from his job. Their first date took place at Drunken Rabbit Brewing on July 22nd, 2020, and from there the two definitely took advantage of their work-free summer to go on many more dates and really get to know one another. Fast forward to Kevin's birthday - December 4th, 2020 - where Kevin dropped the first "I love you" to Danielle. This, of course, was easily reciprocated without hesitation by Danielle. Over the years, Kevin and Danielle traveled to many places near and far, moved into and renovated their first home together in May 2022, assumed the title of "expert wedding guests", and became dog parents to the best boy (I mean son), Howard. Kevin taught Danielle how to golf (it's a love/hate relationship). Danielle converted Kevin from a country music lover to a house music lover (still a work in progress). Together they enjoy watching the Bruins and going to live games, drinking mudslides at the Beachcomber, snowboarding, visiting new breweries and wineries, making the bed together on "Sheet Sunday", boating with friends, taking couch naps, tearing up the dance floor at weddings, and so, so much more!

For Danielle's 29th birthday, Kevin surprised her with a planned trip to their favorite place to travel together - Greenport, NY. Danielle was only a little suspicious of Kevin's ulterior motive here... Come Memorial Day Weekend when their trip took place, Kevin and Danielle checked into their hotel for the weekend. At time of check-in, the concierge happily told them that they would be receiving the "Lovers and Romance Package" included with their stay. Kevin adamantly denied arranging this. Danielle continued to grow suspicious... Kevin and Danielle then went out for a nice dinner, enjoyed some cocktails (espresso martinis, of course), and walked around downtown Greenport. When the question didn't get popped, Danielle concluded it wasn't happening this weekend. After all, all of Kevin's systems are typically nervous and so she thought he would have wanted to "get it out of the way" on day one of their trip so he could finally relax. The next morning, Kevin and Danielle went to breakfast and had a day planned to vineyard hop. Kevin seemed to be stalling, was definitely acting weird, and barely ate anything all morning, however Danielle overlooked all of these signs given she was sure it wasn't happening anymore. The first vineyard on the agenda to visit was Sparkling Pointe, one of Danielle's favorites that she used to visit often with college friends. When they finally arrived - already late to their scheduled wine tasting, I might add - Kevin insisted the reservation wasn't ready yet. He lured Danielle to the back patio, and eventually recommended they walk through the vineyards to take some photos. After walking just a few feet into the vineyards, Kevin was trying to rip Danielle's purse off of her shoulder to "get a better photo". When Danielle turned around to see what the big deal was she noticed two of their friends, Blaise and Giana, in the background with cameras and iPhones in hand, capturing everything. When she finally looked back to Kevin, he was down on one knee, with the most beautiful ring held out. They both blacked out a bit as to what was actually said in the moment, but of course the answer to the big question was "YES!". Kevin, Danielle, and their friends continued to vineyard hop throughout the rest of the day and eventually went out for a celebratory dinner. It was the most magical weekend that they will cherish forever. Funnily enough, they never did figure out who arranged the "Lovers and Romance Package" for their hotel room, as Kevin remains adamant that he did not.
