In one of the most beautiful parts of a Jewish wedding, the Bedeken is when the bride and groom will see each other for the first time. During a cocktail hour before the ceremony, Helen and Jeremy will be in separate parts of the Appleford Estate. Jeremy will be in the Library with his groomsmen, Dad, and anyone else who wishes to join, where the will be plenty of raucous singing and dancing (and drinking)! Helen and her bridesmaids will mingle in the Gardens, spending time with guests. Jeremy will then be danced out to the Gardens to the infectious Hebrew song of "Od Yishama," finding his way to Helen. The song describes the joy and celebration of uniting two partners together.
