Maid of Honor
Emily and Jess were in the same Investment Banking Analyst class. Although the two were based in different locations, the distance did not stop them from chatting every day, complaining about Seamless25, Friday afternoon staffings, and overeager VPs. Despite 8 years of long-distance friendship, Emily is always one of the first people that Jess will call.
Best Man
Jason, who is Justin's older brother of 4 years, was more fortunate in the gene pool with just about everything but height. Always the more well-behaved, more disciplined, and better student of the two, Jason has always been who Justin has aspired to be in life. He is the best older brother Justin could have ever asked for, and the person Justin will always say had the most influence in pushing him to where he is today.
Matron of Honor
JYan and JLee were also in the same Analyst class. They became friends after they found out they loved figure skating (JYan used to proudly share JLee’s skating video from U.S. Nationals to random people), had parent(s) who went to Princeton University, and lived a block away from each other. JYan played a big part in rebuilding JLee's confidence post-figure skating, and she inspired (and continues to inspire) JLee to do more with her life by just being her friend.
Groomsman
Tim is the definition of brother from another mother. Though Tim was really Jason’s friend first, Tim and Justin have been inseparable for nearly two decades. From being the first person ever to feed Justin alcohol, to sharing unforgettable memories from the SIS school bus, to being an ever-reliable travel and culinary concierge, Tim has stood by Justin’s side for longer than Justin can remember.
Bridesmaid
Jess met Annie at a UCLA fraternity party. Annie wanted to leave early so she could make her 8 AM class while Jess wanted to stay late. (Clearly, Annie was a diligent student, and Jess wasn’t...) But after that night, they became inseparable. Often, they had "ledge talks" where they sat on a ledge and talked for hours while eating chicken tenders and curly fries together.
Groomsman
Before Justin and Cody became the friends they are today, there was a period of time that Cody did not like Justin very much (or at all). But as many relationships go, they overcame a rocky start, and their friendship blossomed into one for the ages. The two have been at each other’s side through their highs and lows over the last 10+ years. Despite not living in the same place for most of this time, they show the rest of us that long-distance (bro)mances work!
Bridesmaid
You may start to notice a trend here, but Whit and Jess were ALSO in the same Analyst class. The two initially bonded over their mutual love for Taco Bell (Crunchwrap Supremes!), and they became even closer after navigating their early 20s together (i.e. general life angst about dating, work, etc.). To this day, Whit remains the only person (aside from Jess’ brother) who she has picked up a call from at 4 AM. True love.
Groomsman
Living only ~10 minutes from each other in Hong Kong, Patrick and Justin share countless memories from growing up together: sharing cabs after late nights out in LKF, eating snacks from 7-11, walking home in the wee hours of the night from Cody’s place, trips to Macau; the list goes on. Though college separated them at opposite ends of the country, the two spent virtually every weekend together when work took Justin to New York City for a year in 2016.
Bridesmaid
Jess met Amanda while at Vista, and Jess always knew she wanted to be Amanda’s friend. She was charismatic, smart and hilarious, making Jess laugh with her stories and one-liners. As Jess navigated work, Amanda became Jess’ biggest emotional support being the only person who could truly empathize. Jess is unsure how sane she would have remained without her!
Groomsman
Justin D. (aka the Groom) will always come second to this Justin, who will forever remain Jess’ favorite (and also the cooler and more popular) Justin. Since Jess brought together “Baby Justin” (Justin L.) and “Papa Justin” (Justin D.), they have shared too many memories together to count: heated family battles over Catan, Ascension and made up card games, skiing in Tahoe, going out in Kyoto, Hong Kong, and Seoul, beer pong at Amherst College, ratchet nights at 500 Folsom, and so many more.
Man of Honor
Because nothing seems to bring people closer than suffering together, Anush and Jess were ALSO in the same Analyst class. He was Jess’ primary source of friendship, emotional support and laughter for two years (e.g. when he would hide under Jess’ desk to avoid Friday afternoon staffings). Jess will fondly remember the days she used to bother Anush into taking walks with her while he was busy turning the 1,834th version of a CIM.
