We actually met several times throughout the years. Although we went to high school together and graduated the same year, Jenny did not know Brandon… but Brandon knew Jenny. Then a few years after high school, Jenny went to a restaurant Brandon worked at and although they exchanged numbers, Jenny was not quite ready to give Brandon a chance. Then, three years later in 2009, Jenny moved in next door to Brandon. This had to be fate giving us another chance. Brandon killed her with his kindness and Jenny fell in love with her next door neighbor.
After we became friends when Jenny moved in next door, she realized she should have given him a chance years ago when he first asked her out. So this time, she had to return the gesture so she asked him out on their official first date. We went to BJ’s and thought it would be cute because of our initials.
Brandon proposed in the kangaroo exhibit on his 34th birthday outing with our closest friends and family present. He contacted the exhibit ahead of time and put a secret message inside the Mama kangaroo’s pouch that Jenny found and read out loud. Then when she turned around, Brandon was down on one knee.
