Question

I'm not from Pittsburgh, what is a cookie table?

Answer

The name really says it all - it's a table full of cookies baked with love by family and friends for everyone to enjoy at the reception! The cookie table is a Pittsburgh tradition that dates back to the 1930s and any true yinzer wedding wouldn't be complete without one. There is absolutely no pressure to bake anything but, if you have some free time and a favorite recipe we'd love for you to share :) https://www.tastecooking.com/pennsylvanias-best-wedding-tradition-cookie-table/

Question

This sounds fun! What should I bake?

Answer

Whatever your most tried and true recipe is. You know, the one you show off at Holiday parties. Anything "bite size" and "handheld" - from mini cheesecakes and brownies to cake pops and cookies.

Question

I have the perfect recipe, so how many should I bring?

Answer

Whatever your heart desires! We will have treats from our favorite Pittsburgh bakeries but, nothing beats homemade! We anticipate there will be roughly 100-120 guests and, in line with tradition, everyone will be encouraged to enjoy the treats throughout the night and to take some home for later.

Question

I've baked some goodies, now where do I bring them?

Answer

Mail them to our home in Chicago! Just kidding... As much as John would love that, please bring them with you to Bakersfield and we'll have someone designated to get them all added to the table. *Don't forget to take your container home at the end of the night*

For all the days along the way
