Mackenzie and Christian first met in 2012 at the Greenlawn Fire Department. She was an EMT and he was a fireman. Their friendship grew as time went on and little did they know, this was just the beginning for them. In search of their careers, the two went their separate ways only to find each other once again in September 2018. Both became established in their professions, Mackenzie, an ICU RN, and Chris becoming one of NYC's bravest. Their paths met again and the love story continued. The two began to take advantage of their time off from work to travel to places neither had been before- from Nashville to California and everywhere in between!
The next chapter for the them was their trip to Utah. The two visited Moab, traveling all over in a jeep, hiking and exploring the beautiful national parks... But the best was yet to come. As the day started to come to an end and the sun began to set, Christian raced to Dead Horse Point State Park to catch the amazing sunset with only one thing in mind. He had set up a camera to capture the moment. Other than the wind blowing over the camera it all worked out and Christian got down on one knee. He asked for Mackenzie's hand in marriage as the sun sank below the canyons. So now we are so excited to celebrate the greatest love story this town has ever seen and have our wedding in the town we both grew up in. We look forward to seeing you all very soon! #justtheschuofus 6/20/21 Love , Mackenzie & Chris
