Some love stories are written over time, their pages turning slowly until the perfect moment arrives. Ours is one of those stories. We first met in middle school, crossing paths as kids before life took us in different directions. For twenty years, we lived separate lives, unaware that destiny was quietly working to bring us back together. Then, one day, he reached out to my cousin and asked, “Does she remember me?” At first, I didn’t. But something in his heart told him to reconnect, and when he asked for my number, I agreed. From the very first conversation, nothing felt strange or unfamiliar. It was as if no time had passed at all. We talked, we laughed, we shared our lives—and we discovered that we weren’t just old acquaintances; we were kindred spirits. What made our love undeniable was our shared faith. He is a man of God, deeply spiritual, and everything I had prayed for. I had asked God to send me a partner who would walk this journey of faith with me, and He answered in the most beautiful way—by bringing back someone who had been in my life all along. Five months after reconnecting, we knew. Love doesn’t always need time when God is at the center of it. Now, as we prepare to say “I do,” we know our love is built on something unshakable—faith, destiny, and the prayers that brought us back together.
