Maid of Honor
Christen and I were born 4 days apart but we didn't meet until 9th grade. Our lives are so intertwined, that I honestly can't imagine life without her. She has been the maid-of-honor in so many weddings that she could have her own movie version of "27 Dresses" and that's because she's truly a best friend to an entire tribe of amazing women. Also, she's basically a professional party planner so that helps too.
Best Man
Through all the ups and downs, Miles has always been my ride or die. From living together in multiple apartments, in multiple cities, he's always been a best friend to share everything with. Now, I will get to share one of the biggest days of my life with him standing by my side once again.
Bridesmaid
Chelsea and I were definitely cut from the same cloth and even our moms are similar. A lot has changed since we first became friends: we now believe in sunscreen, we've learned how to consume normal levels of cheese, and we both have incredible men in our lives that help us be the best we can be. Some things will always stay the same: taqueria del sol is food for the soul and most things can still be fixed with queso.
Groomsman/Father
I grew up aspiring to be just like BK and now that I've become a bit older I realize just how terrifying that is. This is the man that raised me and for my most impressionable years as a child, we survived off of canned vegetables, the movie Captain Ron, and sailing on the lake until the sun was clear out of sight. Because of you, I for some reason know every lyric to every Jimmy buffet song ever written and I wouldn't change a thing.
Bridesman
Rob is my "yes man." Whether it's Sunday dinner, Tuesday bowling, going on a random trip, or watching Netflix's newest young adult series in total silence-- Rob is always in! He is the smartest person I know and he's also single ;)
Groomsman/Brother
We may not have been born of blood but I could not have wished for a better more caring brother if I tried. he's always down for an adventure with no questions asked and if you're in the market for a jetski he is definitely your man.
Bridesmaid
Fiesty, fearless, and loyal. My dearest Nita and I have been close since college and she's my go-to for fashion advice.
Groomsman/Brother
Great guy, makes really cute kids. Ladies, watch out on the dance floor.
Bridesmaid
Linley became one of my best friends when I moved back to Atlanta in high school. I've seen her go from party-girl to smartest-in-the-room to wife to mom to now being the wife who can outsmart and out party all her friends while holding a toddler on her hip.
Groomsman
Everyone has the one oldest best friend that has seen you throughout all your awkward stages of life. He has been there to encourage that first kiss with a girl and for that first time running from the cops. While we have grown up so much since all of those times, there is never a moment I wouldn't hesitate to break you out of a Mexican jail.
Bridesmaid
Alicia and I had a lot of mutual friends in college but didn't know each other until later. We ended up splitting a van rental together to move to NYC at the same time and started working together periodically over the years. In 2020, she became co-founder of Juniperus! We're basically an old married couple that can finish each other's sentences but will also bicker about literally nothing.
Groomsman
I've gotten to share one of the greatest experiences of my life with David hiking 250mi through the Sierra Nevada mountains and hitchhiking to L.A. just in time to almost miss our flights. We had much to debate and think about on this month-long trip and if there is one thing that I've learned is that he's fiercely loyal and will hold you to your word whether or not said words were over 12 beers or so.
Bridesmaid
Meredith was the "new girl" in highschool and everyone would remark at how we looked like sisters. So, even though she was younger than me, I knew I had to take her under my wing. But now she's all grown up and has Chris... which means we have Chris too and we haven't decided if that's a good thing or a bad thing (JK, we love you Chris!)
Groomsman
"Don't you dare try to date my roommate," Danny said almost a decade ago. Jokes on you Danny, I'm marrying her.
Bridesmaid
Trish and I ran cross country together in high school (or, I ran. She mostly walked). We've been there for one another through life's ups and downs and I'll never let her forget that I introduced her to her incredible husband, Andy. It was such an honor to stand by your side when you married the love of your life and I'm so excited you'll be there to do the same.
Groomsman
From renting out our shed as a pottery studio to convincing you to be my business partner and literally spending every day devising how to take over the world. I could not have asked for a better confidant to conspire with. P.S. Looking forward to selling out one day and soaking up some rays with you.
Bridesmaid
My first best friend! When I was homeschooled, my mom worried I didn't have any friends my age so she asked Gwenny's mom if they could set up a play date for us (in 5th or 6th grade). I found out that day that Gwenny is the type of friend that will meet you halfway around the globe at a moment's notice.
Groomsman
Karl-- if you don't make it to the wedding and are stuck in another country, especially after we contact the embassy on your behalf (again), you owe me the cost of the wedding. (I'm not joking)
Bridesmaid
Anna asked to borrow my eyeliner in 9th grade and the rest is history. We've lived together, traveled together, and we will definitely grow old together.
Groomsman
I remember this shy goth kid that transferred to our high school, and I couldn't be happier to have asked him to come and sit with us at lunch one day, and ever since he's been, family. (not unlike the olivegarden). You have already had to officiate too many weddings so just sit back and enjoy this one, you earned it buddy.
We're here for the pets
Our two furbabies
Groomsman
My brother from another mother, since birth (literally) we have been raised together. From releasing crabs in hotel elevators to prank calling the cops, he's been there for it all. The good, the bad, and definitely the ugly.
Flower Girl
She stole our hearts from day one and she continues to steal candy from our house every chance she can get. When her mom told her that we were engaged, she replied instantly and matter-of-fact with, "I hope your marriage is good." Us too, Leda. Us too.
Flower Girl
The only niece is always the favorite niece
Mother of the Bride
Carebear is a second mom to half of the bridal party and likely 1/5 of the wedding guests. She's there when you call (and sometimes even when you don't). Growing up, she'd always say, "where there is a will, there's a way." It was her will that provided me every opportunity in life and she will forever be my confidant and best friend.
Mother of the Groom
I used to barely be housebroken before this daring lady decided to take on the immeasurable task of breaking this wild horse. While it was not easy at times (many times) she never gave up. It is most likely for this reason that I now have a beautiful fiance that I am able to communicate and navigate through life. She has taught me that persistence, love, and communication are the roots of any great relationship.
