Things To Do

Here are some things you can do in and around Livermore, CA! These were based on our favorites. Disclaimer: the things in Livermore are things we want to do and haven't tried yet :) We'll keep everyone posted if we decide to do an event at one or some of these recommendations.

Purple Orchid Wine Country Resort And Spa

4549 Cross Road, Livermore, CA 94550
, (925) 606-8855

Spa treatment! They will be open on the wedding date until 2 PM (I believe).

Dante Robere Vineyards

1200 Wetmore Road, Livermore, CA 94550
, (925) 245-0172

You're in wine country! Try some nearby wineries like Dante Robere. We haven't been here, but maybe you can let us know what your thoughts are ;)

Tesla Road

Tesla Road, Livermore, CA 94550

There are some beautiful bike trails around the venue. Our venue is on one along Tesla Road! The bike trail takes you through wine country. And, it's mostly bike protected paths!

Sycamore Grove Park

1051 Wetmore Road, Livermore, CA 94550
, (925) 960-2400

A beautiful park you can stop and visit

Livermore Disc Golf Course

Livermore, CA 94550

For disc golfers, there's a course in Livermore, near the venue! This is located at Ernies Softball Complex, next to Old Savior Lutheran Church

The Course at Wente Vineyards

5040 Arroyo Road, Livermore, CA 94550
, (925) 456-2477

There are few golf courses in Livermore. In addition to this recommendation, there are Las Positas and Poppy Ridge golf courses. Las Positas is near the Homesuite hotel, recommended in the "travel" section.

California Academy of Sciences

55 Music Concourse Drive, San Francisco, CA 94118
, (415) 379-8000

Among many places in San Francisco to visit, this is Justina's favorite place in San Francisco.

Golden Gate Bakery

1029 Grant Avenue, San Francisco, CA 94133
, (415) 781-2627

While you might decide to do a day in San Francisco, I recommend in Golden Gate Bakery in Chinatown for their egg tarts. They're not always open and they don't always tell you when they're closing, so someone on Facebook made a "closing" tracker for them. Visit the website if you're interested in making a visit to this bakery. https://www.facebook.com/isthegoldengatebakeryopentoday

Golden Gate Park Disc Golf Course

99 Marx Meadow Drive, San Francisco, CA 94121
, (415) 831-2700

Golden Gate is a massive park and deserve a whole day on its own. Ocean beach is just at the end of the park, and the California Academy of Sciences is in the park, too. Keith's recommendation is the Disc Golf Course at the Golden Gate Park, his favorite.

wonderful

270 Broadway, Millbrae, CA 94030
, (650) 651-8888

Keith and I love this restaurant and hold it in our hearts. We loved eating here when we lived in Millbrae. If you want great Hunan-style chinese food, this is the IT spot. Order the green onion pancake. They're SO delicious. This restaurant is in millbrae and if you're landing in the evening at SFO, consider coming here for a dinner treat :) There may be a wait.

Westfield Valley Fair

2855 Stevens Creek Boulevard, Santa Clara, CA 95050
, (408) 248-4451

Great shopping mall. Lots of parking, lots of stores, and now has yummy food spots like Salt and Straw (ice cream), Uncle Tetsu (japanese cheesecake), & Shake Shack (very popular burger joint in the East Coast). They also have the Icon Theater. Santana Row is a nice little strip across from Valleyfair Mall. There's always something going on there and so many stores. Pizza Antica is our favorite.

Alamo Drafthouse Cinema New Mission

2550 Mission Street, San Francisco, CA 94110
, (415) 549-5959

Want to sit and relax and enjoy a movie? We love, love, love Alamo Drafthouse Theater. They serve food at your seat and are considerate of people's movie experience. We suggest looking online for any seat reservations.

Capitol Drive In

Capitol Drive In, San Jose, CA 95136

Roll up your car and have a great movie experience!

Feng Cha Teahouse

7372 Thornton Avenue, Newark, CA 94560
, (510) 896-8930

We love Feng Cha for boba. There's one in Burlingame, a neighbor to Millbrae!

Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk

400 Beach Street, Santa Cruz, CA 95060
, (831) 423-5590

Go to the beach! Here's one recommendation. Ocean Beach in San Francisco is pretty big, too.

Point Reyes National Seashore

Point Reyes Station, CA 94956
, (415) 464-5137

Point Reyes has some beautiful hikes!

Ocean Beach

San Francisco, CA

You can have bonfires here!

Mission Peak Trail Head

680 Stanford Avenue, Fremont, CA 94539
, (510) 544-3246

If you want a hike, Mission Peak is popular in Alameda County. In November, it should be cool enough but also not too cold. There is no shade.

Coyote Hills Regional Park

8000 Patterson Ranch Road, Fremont, CA 94555
, (510) 544-3220

You can bike and hike here. Learn about the salt patches!
