Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

Please RSVP by June 1st, 2025 by clicking the RSVP tab in the menu above. If you have not RSVP'd by the date given, we will assume that you are unable to attend.

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

The ceremony will begin at 3:00 PM. We recommend arriving at least 30 minutes prior to the ceremony to allow time for parking and finding your seat. Guest who arrive after 2:55 PM will be asked to wait by the reception area until the ceremony has concluded.

Is there parking for the ceremony/reception?

Answer

Our venue has free on-site parking as both the ceremony and reception will be held at the same location.

What do I do if I can't make it?

Answer

You will be dearly missed! If you cannot make it to the wedding, please RSVP "not attending." If you cannot make it after you have already RSVP'd, please let us know by contacting Brett at (505) 523-7918 as soon as possible so we can plan accordingly.

Is there a dress code?

Answer

We'd love to see our friends and family get dressed up for our big day! Dress to impress in your best Western Formal attire. (Midi or floor length dresses, jeans or denim are appropriate.) Please avoid all white, Champaign and chocolate brown and dusty blue. Please plan accordingly for any weather!

Can I bring a date?

Due to limited space, we are only able to accommodate those guest formally listed on your wedding invitation. Thank you for understanding and please feel free to reach out with any questions.

Are kids welcome?

Answer

Invitations will be specific and will include the names of the children that are invited. However, we encourage you to use this evening as a "night out" for yourself!

Can I make a Donation?

Of course! We are grateful for anything and anyone is willing to help us out with the wedding. Just contact Brett directly at (505) 523-7918 for questions!

Is it an open bar?

Answer

The Bar will be a "Cash Bar" which means all guest are responsible for buying their own drinks. No it does not mean cash only the bar does take card.

FAIR WARNING for ALL GUESTS

Answer

The Southwest Event Center (SWEC) does not allow bringing of outside alcohol onto the premises. Anyone caught with outside alcohol will be asked to leave. Smoking is allowed but only in designated areas set by The SWEC Staff. No smoking marijuana/thc products in and/or around SWEC premises. Anyone caught will be asked to leave by SWEC staff. The SWEC will have security on site and have a strict No Re-Entry Policy set in place. So please come in with everything you will need for the evening (chargers, diaper bags, gifts, etc.). Absolutely NO FIGHTING. Anyone fighting will be escorted off the premises by SWEC Staff. We ask that you abide by these rules set by SWEC as it will result in loss of our deposit and/or early termination of our wedding event.
