FAQs

The Wedding Website of Kelsey Heitman and Justin Sherman
Question

Do I have to book my own transportation to the wedding ceremony?

Answer

No. We have arranged our own private shuttle bus to the marina for guests. We have also taken care of the boat transportation/port fees. We will share a timeline of events closer to the wedding so you don’t miss your ride!

Question

How long is the boat ride to the venue?

Answer

The boat ride from the marina to the beach will take about an hour. The bar on the boat will be open and most importantly, there are bathrooms on board. 😊 We’ll be on a stable catamaran-style boat so the ride should be smooth. That said, we’ll include Dramamine and motion sickness patches in your welcome bags just in case. If you take one during the shuttle ride to the marina, it should kick in by the time we board the boat.

Question

What should I bring to the wedding venue and boat?

Answer

Since our venue is completely remote, we recommend packing a small bag for items you may need for the afternoon and evening. It'll probably get breezy at night and on the boat so pack a light jacket or sweater. Please avoid wearing heels! While our boat is scheduled to drop us off directly on the beach via a ramp (pictured above), there’s a chance we may need to dock at a neighboring beach if the waves are too strong. In that case, we’ll have to take a ~10 minute walk through a path in the jungle to reach our destination.

Question

What if I miss the boat on the wedding day?

Answer

Unfortunately, since our beach is only accessible by boat, you will miss our wedding day. A precise timeline will be shared closer to the wedding day so you don't miss the shuttle from our hotel to the marina.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

As much as we love all your kiddos, due to the capacity limitations and unique set up of the venue and boat, this will be an adults only event. That being said, we ask that you only bring those that are invited on your invitation. We hope that you understand and can enjoy the week off celebrating with us!

Question

Will there be other activities planned during the week?

Answer

Yes, but nothing is required and most activities and meet ups will take place at the resort. We understand that this is also your vacation time so we want everyone to have the flexibility to create their own schedules. We'll share the optional events closer to the wedding.

Question

Do I need a Passport?

Answer

Yes! We recommend starting the process early if you don't already have one as it may take a few months to arrive.

Question

Does the resort provide transportation to/from the airport?

Answer

When you book your rooms, you will see an option to add on transportation from the airport to/from the resort. Our travel agent, Chad, will have you send him your flight information so he can arrange the vans to fit our guests traveling around the same time. We recommend booking your transportation through the travel agency instead of Uber/Taxi since the uber pick up location at the PVR airport is difficult and far to navigate to.

Question

When can I RSVP and book travel?

Answer

Now! :) We recommend booking your room as early as possible to ensure you're able to book your desired room type.

Question

Can I Bring a Gift?

Answer

Gifts are not expected! Your presence and time is the best gift we could ever receive! However, if you insist on giving something, we ask that you do not bring it to Mexico to make travel easier.

Question

How will we stay updated when preparing to travel?

Answer

Once you have RSVP’d yes, we will add you to our texting list to send out any updates or reminders for traveling. We will also send out events during the week if anyone wishes to join! The resort has activities planned, but we’ll keep guests updated if we plan any offsite excursions earlier in the week.

Question

wait! I have more questions

Answer

Please reach out to Kelsey or Justin if you have any other questions. As we get closer to our special day and while we're in Mexico, we'll utlize text announcements to send out important reminders and timeline details. We want to make sure all our guests have a great time and your planning stays stress-free.
