It was love at first sight for Keyland, Snaggle teeth and all. Fifteen years ago, our paths crossed in the trialing times of middle school, laying the foundation for a love story that would unfold over time. In those early days, shared laughter, glances at the lunch table, and a first kiss in the movie theater marked the beginning of something special. However, life's twists took us in different directions after eighth grade when Justine's military family relocated from Texas to Virginia. Despite the physical distance, the connection endured. Throughout high school, Keyland's persistent messages bridged the miles, weaving a thread of friendship and anticipation. He was the steadfast one, texting Justine more than she him, revealing a determination that would shape our future. The reconnection came in 2015 at "Electric Forest" music festival in Michigan. Surrounded by the magic of the moment, we rediscovered each other, reigniting a spark that had never truly faded. The following year tested the strength of our bond as we navigated a long-distance relationship, with visits alternating between Texas and Virginia. In a courageous move, Keyland chose love and uprooted his life, moving to Virginia to be closer to Justine. Little did she know, back in eighth grade, he had already shared with his family his conviction that he would marry her someday. Now, after nine years of officially being a couple, we stand on the precipice of forever. Our journey, marked by persistence, love, and the unwavering belief in each other, has brought us here.
