Last May, in the heart of Gatlinburg, Tennessee, the charming town set the stage for a moment neither Johnny nor Justine would ever forget. They had spent the day exploring the wonders of Anakeesta, marveling at the breathtaking views, the serene treetop walkways, and the vibrant atmosphere of the mountain adventure park. The beauty of the Smoky Mountains had left them in awe, but it was the quiet moment outside a cozy riverside restaurant that would mark the beginning of the next chapter of their lives. As they walked to the riverbed, the peaceful sound of the water flowing nearby blended perfectly with the majestic backdrop of the mountains. The day had been incredible, and the calmness of the moment made it feel like time had slowed just for them. Surrounded by nature’s raw beauty, Johnny knew it was the perfect time to ask the most important question of all. In that serene, moonlit setting, the proposal unfolded. With the river quietly running beside them and the Smoky Mountains towering in the distance, he dropped to one knee. Johnny nervous and stumbling his words asks “Will you be my wife?” and Justine caught off guard by this surprise answered in a giddy tone “Okayyyyy!” It was a moment filled with joy, excitement, and the promise of a lifetime together. As the two of them stood there, they began to laugh, and run back to the rental car hoping no one watched their intimate moment! And so the night went on… They spontaneously rode a colorfully lit up mountain coaster they found on the way back to their hotel, stopped at a unique liquor store, did a few moonshine tastings, then popped a chilled bottle of Veuve Cliquot on their balcony, and slow danced to “Grow Old with You,” from The Wedding Singer. Their hearts knew that this perfect day in Gatlinburg was just the beginning of an incredible journey they would continue to explore—side by side.
