On New Years Eve 2016, Justine & Akiva were at the same party hosted by their friend Laura A. Feder. They noticed each other quickly and had an amazing conversation about literature, film, philosophy, and life. They left that evening knowing they met a special person. Justine even texted her friend Ariel (one of the bridesmaids!) that she was so excited that she just met this wonderful man named Akiva. They began dating in January of 2017 and their love and connection has blossomed and grown over the last few years. They got engaged on September 3, 2022 in DUMBO, Brooklyn after a lovely dinner. After dinner, they took a romantic walk and Akiva asked Justine to marry him while they sat by the water's edge overlooking the East River with a beautiful view of the Manhattan and Brooklyn Bridges on either side. We've lived through a lot over the last few years, but we've been by each other's side. We enrich each other's lives and are so excited to celebrate our love and devotion with all of you by our sides.
