Our Story

Justin and Vivian met having dinner with their mutual friend, MK Tyler, in December 2017. Justin reluctantly agreed to come to dinner with MK and her friend. Vivian greeted him with a cheerful hug. Shortly after, Vivian began volunteering and attending meetings for the Festival of the Arts in Downtown Oklahoma City. Vivian immediately connected with the familiar and friendly face of Justin in the crowd. Vivian began to become more involved in the Festival and young professional group, and thankfully saw Justin at each event. Vivian began volunteering doing Production (set-up, maintenance, and tear-down of the Festival), knowing Justin was in charge and she would be fed a home-cooked meal. Vivian came back day-after-day to volunteer and spend more time with Justin. Vivian and Justin became inseparable during Production, often sneaking a kiss on a forklift during the evening and meeting friends at The Flea (a dive bar mere block away from Festival) for a Coors Light (or two or three). Justin proposed to Vivian in Bicentennial Park (the same park in which the Festival is held) on July 4, 2019, and look forward to celebrating with you in November!
