We first met in July of 2019 in Philadelphia. What started as a casual after-work date on a hot summer evening quickly turned into something more, a spark we both felt right away. Drinks in Fishtown turned into dinner, and by the end of the night, Vinny was driving Justin all the way back to Roxborough, a small gesture that spoke volumes. From that night forward, our lives began to intertwine with an ease that felt meant to be. Over the months that followed, we met each other’s friends, spent countless nights out in Center City, and built a rhythm that made us feel instantly at home together. When the world slowed down and we found ourselves spending even more time side by side, our connection only deepened. From walks through Fairmount Park to hosting parties in our first apartment, we fell more and more in love with the everyday moments that made up our life. In 2023, we bought our first home together in Roxborough, back in the neighborhood where it all began. We poured our energy into making it ours, filling it with projects, laughter, and, of course, the newest member of our family — our sweet cat Cannoli. With a home that felt like us, it seemed only natural to take the next step. That fall, we set off on a dream trip to Italy, where we bought rings in Florence and, days later, Vinny proposed to Justin on a quiet Venetian bridge. Justin surprised him right back later that night with his own proposal, and the two of us ended the evening dancing under the moonlight to songs like “This Will Be” and “That’s Amore.” Back home, we threw ourselves into building our life together — finishing home projects, loving on Cannoli, and starting to plan our wedding. For us, the ocean has always felt like the perfect metaphor for love: powerful, steady, sometimes wild, but always beautiful. We knew we wanted to celebrate our marriage somewhere coastal, and when we visited Mystic, Connecticut, it felt like the perfect place — timeless, romantic, and full of charm. Now, surrounded by the sea and the people we love most, we’re so excited to begin this next chapter at the Mystic Seaport. We can’t wait to celebrate, laugh, and dance the night away with all of you as we officially start our forever together!
