For bourbon lovers and those interested in bourbon! If you're arriving early, this would be a great Friday or Sunday activity. There are many urban bourbon distilleries that offer tours and tastings within a few minutes drive from the Omni Hotel such as Old Forester, Angel's Envy Distillery, Evan Williams, Michter's Fort Nelson and others. Those under 21 are allowed on most tours, but not on the tastings. It's recommended you purchase your tickets in advance.

NuLu is one of our favorite Louisville neighborhoods filled with restaurants, bars, and shops. Our welcome party (West Sixth NuLu) is located here and we recommend grabbing dinner nearby at Meesh Meesh, La Bodeguita De Mima, Feast BBQ, or Bar Genevieve and Byrdie's in Hotel Genevieve.
The world renown Louisville Slugger Museum and Factory is only a five minute drive from Omni Hotel. We recommend you get picture with the enormous bat out front and book a tour to see how the bats are made (you can even personalize your own bat)!

Visit Churchill Downs and the Kentucky Derby Museum (12 minute drive from Omni Hotel) for all there is to know about horses and horse racing in Kentucky! Please note, there are no races at this time of year.
For art lovers, the Speed Art Museum (7 minute drive from Omni Hotel) is the oldest and largest art museum in Kentucky! It's a spacious art museum featuring classic & modern works, plus special exhibitions in contemporary digs. It is located at the University of Louisville campus.
The Frazier History Museum, a five minute drive from the Omni Hotel, preserves and presents Kentucky history through artifacts, exhibitions, educational programs, Bourbon tastings, and guided tours.
The Big Four Bridge spans the Ohio River, connecting Louisville with Jeffersonville, Indiana. Walking across is about a 2-mile round trip and a great way to take in some of the city's natural beauty. The Waterfront Park is a must for taking a stroll!
