We’re excited to celebrate with you all!

Justin joined a kickball league in 2017 in Evansville to meet new people after his move from Carmel, IN. I didn’t play but was a loyal spectator. One evening, I came out to the restaurant the team went to after the game and ended up across the table from him. We chatted a bit and then I gave him my phone to put his number into. I remember thinking in my head 'I couldn't have picked a worse outfit to try to get a guys number in.' I had no makeup on, my hair was in the quintessential messy bun and my basketball themed t-shirt read, 'handle the wood or ride the pine.' Embarrassing. However, undeterred, Justin put his number in my phone—and then left immediately after. Friends took that opportunity to tease me and tell me he put Pizza Huts number in my phone. I later texted him (rather smoothly) ‘if this is Pizza Hut I’m going to be upset’ He assured me it was indeed Justin Edwards and that was that. Little did I know I had just met my future husband—it's been a fun and love filled adventure ever since!

After being an "outside cat" for the majority of my young adult life, I moved to Evansville, IN for my job in 2016. Deciding I needed to try and build a social life, I joined a kickball league(of which I knew nobody) in April 2017. Following the first game, the group went out for dinner/drinks at Lamasco's in Evansville. During this routine exercise, I met this cute girl without any makeup on that stuck out among everyone else as being different. After our initial meeting, I left after she asked ME for MY number... That confirmed her interest in my book, to say the least. I asked her to dinner and she said she "liked food and chatting" and as they say, the rest is history! Since then, it has been an unbelievable ride, full of love, laughter, and adventure. I showed up to that first kickball game unaware I would be meeting my future wife. Life happens fast and sometimes unexpectedly. We're just getting warmed up!
