Tilden Park Steam Train at the Redwood Valley Railway
Located just a short drive from the wedding venue, the Tilden Park Steam Train is a Berkeley classic that's fun for all ages. It's relazed ride through the park and a great way to take in the scenery. The train only runs on weekends, so make sure to check the website for hours.
Reinhardt Redwood Regional Park
We always bring our friends and family here for an easy and relaxing hike. It's the perfect place to unwind and get some fresh air. One of the things we love most about the Bay Area is how many beautiful forested spots there are, and this park really captures that.
Oakland Zoo
We've visited the Oakland Zoo many times and always love seeing the animals and taking in the beautiful views of the Bay Area. It's a fun place to explore during your visit. Be sure to check the gondola hours when planning your trip, as operating time may vary.
Berkeley Waterfront
We usually come here to fly the kites, but it's also a perfect spot for a picnic or a nice easy walk. Since it's right on the Bay, you can enjoy beaufitul views and even see San Francisco in the distance. It's relaxing and fun place to spend some time during your visit.
Ferry Building
If you are in the city, we highly recommend stopping by the Ferry Building. It's got great food, local vendors, and beautiful Bay views all in one place. Make sure to check it out on their market days!
California Academy of Sciences
This is one of our favorite science museums. With an aquarium, rainforest dome, and planetarium, there's something fun for everyone. It's definitely worth checking out while you're in the city.
