Sarai and Justin’s story began in the mountains of Big Bear in 2017, where they first met during a confirmation retreat. What started as a friendship soon blossomed into something more. During one quiet moment at the retreat, Sarai heard a familiar tune, River Flows in You by Yiruma being played on the piano and followed the sound, only to find Justin at the keys. That simple moment became the spark of something deeper. By March 2018, during their senior year of high school, their connection had grown, and after just two weeks of heartfelt conversations, Justin knew Sarai was the one. Their journey together officially began on April 3, 2018. From navigating life after high school to growing through college, celebrating graduations, and achieving career milestones, Sarai and Justin have shared every moment side by side. From their humble beginnings in retail and food service jobs to now each thriving in their dream careers, their journey has been one of perseverance, faith, and God’s grace. Seven years later, with love and gratitude in their hearts, Justin planned a mountain getaway to Lake Arrowhead, a place reminiscent of where their story first began. Despite fighting bronchitis, he was determined to make it unforgettable. As the song "Can't Help Falling In Love" by Kina Grannis played and loved ones stood by with roses in hand, Sarai followed the path to Justin, who knelt before her and asked, “Will you marry me?” With joy, gratitude, and faith, they now look forward to their next chapter, marriage.
