What started as a connection on a dating app, discussing our love for horror movies and great music tastes, quickly grew to meeting up for drinks. Our first date was set at a bar called Wall Street in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. I was nervous, a bit shy, while Justin was outgoing and full of energy. When I arrived, I spotted him standing outside the bar, smiling so wide that I immediately knew this was going to be a night to remember! After a shot of tequila to break the ice, we dove into easy conversation, laughing and sharing stories, losing track of time. Before we knew it, it was already 10p on a weekday and we were making plans for a second date. Justin walked me to my car, kissed me goodnight, and we both spent the rest of the week texting and calling, eager to see each other again. Our second, and third, and fourth dates came and went by with trivia, haunted houses, and late-night movies. With more great conversations, new adventures, great music, and last minute get aways, our connection and love continued to grow. This past year we have adopted a second cat (crazy sweet Myers), moved in together, and bought our first home together. And on a chilly day in October, Justin planned a night out with friends at Nashville Nightmare, a haunted house experience that we go to every chance we get. He nervously putted around all day (I thought he was mad at me multiple times!) until standing by the wall of jack o lanterns, he got down on one knee and nervously asked to spend our lives together. While my mind went fuzzy with surprise, my heart immediately said yes! And the rest, as they say, is history! We are so excited and cannot wait to spend the day with all of our favorite people, our friends and family, to celebrate this life we are making!
