It started the way most good things do — unexpectedly. Justin and Reilly met at a bar in Pacific Beach in September 2021. Three days later, what was supposed to be a brunch date turned into five hours of wandering Liberty Station, neither one ready to say goodbye. They talked about family, about working with kids, about the kinds of childhoods that shape who you become and realized they were more alike than they'd thought. They took it slow. A few months later, they made it official, and the adventure began. The years that followed were full of love and real-life change: Justin moved an hour away for student teaching. Reilly graduated and moved back home to teach Pre-K. Justin stepped into a classroom as a full-time fourth-grade teacher. Reilly moved closer, then dove into graduate school. Life kept asking them to stretch — and they kept showing up for each other anyway. Through it all, something deeper began to grow. Both Justin and Reilly found themselves drawn to their church and their faith in Christ. That shift changed everything — not just how they love each other, but how they love other people. Serving others, serving God, and serving one another became the heartbeat of their relationship. It's a long way from that bar in Pacific Beach, and they're grateful for every mile. They're also grateful for the people who walked alongside them — the family and friends who encouraged them, challenged them, and lovingly pointed them back on track when they needed it. Those people have made them who they are. Now, they're ready for the next chapter. And they're so glad you're here for it.
