A Connection in the Making

#justintimeforregan

It’s funny how one decision, contact, or event can unfold a chain of events that will ultimately change your life. This chain of events for Regan and Justin started 16 years ago in a little dive bar in Culver City known as "Joxer Daly's". A regular at Joxer’s, Justin befriended a bar back named Fieron, and as luck would have it, Fieron had sisters. Shortly thereafter one of those sisters strolled in. I bet you’re thinking it was Regan, sorry to disappoint it was his sister Karlynn. Fast forward to 2014 and as fate would have it both Justin and Regan had moved back to Los Angeles, and can you guess where they were hanging out - Joxer Daly’s. Regan walked in wearing her signature Cheshire cat grin. Exchanging their hellos, Justin had no Idea he was meeting his future wife but Regan knew she was smitten. From that point forward one might say the rest is history. If only it were that simple. In the midst of there budding friendship, Justin had the opportunity to relocate to Portland, Oregon. Most love stories would end there. However, through there mutual dedication to living a healthier lifestyle and the shared goal of completing a Spartan Trifecta, the friendship continued in-spite of the distance. After multiple burpees, gallons of sweat and maybe a few tears, their goal was completed. Crossing the finish line hand in hand. And one could say it was during this time that their friendship grew to love. The distance was not going to be a deterring factor, and during those 3 years, they facetimed regularly, planned weekend meet up getaways, vacations, and "I just miss you" trips. Their relationship was closer than the miles that separated them. On a typical Oregon afternoon - drab and muddy - Justin proposed to Regan in a tulip field. The sun may have been hidden, and the flowers not yet in bloom, but that moment felt like the first day of summer, and the rest you could say is history.
