Drive to the top of Whiteface Mountain. Awesome view of the High Peaks!
Lake Placid Olympic Ski Jumping Complex
Open all year. Summer/Fall often have athlete still training/jumping into pools (tricks!) and layered hay (distance)
Mount Van Hoevenberg
Home to the Olympic bobsled, luge, and skeleton tracks. Open all year for bobsled rides. Lots of hiking around as well. The Mount Van Hoevenberg is an easy in and out with great views.
Cascade Mountain
Not a hard hike, about 3 hours there and back. This was Rachel and I's first hike in Lake Placid and our first weekend trip together. It snowed and she wore fur boots.
