Matron of Honor
I met Pru Pru long before she became Dr. Durowaiye, back when we attended the University of Oklahoma (Boomer, Sooner!!!) together what seems like years and years ago. We had SO MUCH in common, yet we were opposite in so many ways. We became roommates our Sophomore year and have been best friends ever since. Prudence is the true definition of a forever friend, and I'm so blessed to have her stand next to me on my big day!
Best Man
I met James Carter, aka JC, at the University of Central Oklahoma. We were in ROTC together, and first spoke to each other in the bathroom stall lol, when he asked me ''is there any toilet paper over there" ?Although I felt uncomfortable talking in the bathroom stall, we actually had a good conversation. From that day on I knew if I could talk with this guy in bathroom, then we could talk about anything, anywhere. JC and I soon became brothers from another mother. We have shared smiles and cries, but our bond has made us strong. Thank you JC, for being a true friend!
Bridesmaid
Sidnei and I met in the 7th grade at St. Philip Neri. She was a military brat, so we only got to spend two years together. We managed to do A LOT in those two short years! We spent countless hours on the phone while watching 106 & Park and crushing on our B2K boys lol. We played on the basketball, volleyball, and track teams together. I even managed to turn her into a Sooner fan, but then she jumped ship and became a LSU Tiger (I try not to hold that against her haha). Needless to say, Sidnei and I have so many unforgettable memories and I’m so happy to have her as one of my bridesmaids!
Groomsman
I met Marco while working at the Federal Transfer Center in 2017. We had an instant friendship and it seems as if I've known him forever. Ever since we met, there has never been a dull moment when we around each other. Our times are filled with laughter and giggles. Marco is someone I can depend on through the ups and downs. He knows how to turn a rainy day into a fun filled one. After countless conversations, we both have learned that we have a lot in common and great minds truly do think alike!
Bridesmaid
I met Amanda back in 2007 when she started dating my brother, Carlton. Soon, she became my sister-in-law. Amanda and I both share a love for teaching and have spent many nights venting about the trials and tribulations we go through in our classrooms. Amanda is the one who picked out my wedding dress and I’m thankful to have her be apart of our special day!
Groomsman
I met Gerald through JC. I had never met someone who could build a whole computer just for fun in a couple of days. Besides that Gerald is good friend, not only can he offer advice about computer viruses, but also about entrepreneurship. Although he has moved to New York City to take a job, we keep in contact periodically.
Junior Bridesmaid
Aaliyah is my neice and my Goddaugher. She has played a special role in my life from the second that she was born. I have loved watching her grow and develop into the smart, beautiful young lady she is today. How special it is that she gets to take part in my wedding day!
Groomsman
I met Chevro Wilson, aka Chevy, our freshman year at Southern Nazarene University, during two a days football camp. He gave me a lift in the rain when my car wouldn't start. Chevy was my battle buddy on and off the field; he looked out for me. We ended up playing next to each other on the offensive line. My most memorable memory with Chevy that I can never forget, is when he fell on my knee during a football game and dislocated my knee cap. Through all of this, we have still remained friends.
