Our first years living together we created something we called "Our Love in a Jar". It was a little mason jar where we put the change from tips of earlier jobs we had. When it was full we would cash it out and invest in something for ourselves. One day Justin droped change in the jar and it shattered, but we cleaned it up and got a bigger one. We've out grown several really, and while it may seem like such a material thing it makes us happy remembering that small jar. Our love for each other was once a small thing and with some investments it has grown much too.
This memory is really special for the both of us, because it is the only kind of thing that you read about or watch in books or movies. It was time for me to go back to Florida and Justin decided to come with Bruce to drop me off at the bus station in a spur of a moment. We both recall that it was late at night, and he helped carry the few bags that I had all the way up to the bus itself. We were under the awning of the bus stop and there weren't very many people around because they had already boarded. Just before it was time for me to leave we kissed and it was like we were those characters in the books or the stars in that movie. It was surreal. Every time we reminisce about that moment Justin tells me that if I had looked back before getting on the bus he probably would have fallen in love with me sooner.
