It was a special day on 8.9.10 when my freshman orientation group leader didn't show up and I was put in another group. We started doing some team building activities and we needed a partner - I didn't really know anyone, but I thought my group leader was pretty cute so I asked if he would be my partner and he said yes (can you guess who my group leader was?). After the activity, he so slyly said "I have to get everyone's number, so can I have your number?" I knew what he was up to, but gave it to him anyway. So if Justin ever says he made the first move, don't be fooled - it was definitely me ;) Anyway, we started dating for a little while but broke up when Justin's friends teased him for being a junior dating a freshman. We dated off and on for the next 4 years before officially getting back together shortly after our first trip to Italy. During our 2nd trip to Italy after my high school graduation, Justin proposed with the beautiful waters of Lake Barcis behind us. He even made two little old Italian ladies cry while they watched. As some of you know, we were originally planning to get married in 2016. But due to school, stress, finances, and so many other reasons - it was postponed. And we couldn't be more grateful for that. We had the opportunity to grow as individuals and a couple before entering marriage during our 6 year engagement, and the timing couldn't have been better. I remember when Justin and I first started dating and I realized we met on 8.9.10, he said "That sounds like a wedding date", then quickly realized we couldn't have that exact date as a wedding date. But now everything is coming together perfectly for us to be married on our 10-year Meetaversary 8.9.20 in one of our favorite places, San Diego. We hope you can come celebrate with us! We've been waiting 2,253 days for this - so please, party accordingly. xo, Melody & Justin
