We met at a mutual friend’s birthday party. We were heading into the city and Justin offered to drive. While we figured out logistics (outside in December) I was freezing (shocker!) and Justin mentioned he had heated seats in his truck, so after knowing him for 5 minutes I decided “shotgun!” with this stranger. Climbing into his big pickup truck with heated seats and country music playing, I knew he was my kinda guy. Once we got to the party (a karaoke bar) and he sang a duet of Gretchen Wilson’s Red Neck Woman with me, that was it! We have been inseparable ever since.

I (Melissa) had to go to Pennsylvania to see a client off at an airport so we decided to make a night if it an do dinner in Philly. We had been once before and had found a nice park we liked, so Justin suggested we go back and walk along the river. This wasn’t totally out if character for us (although it was about 50 degrees colder than the last time we were there) so I wasn’t expecting anything. Walking underneath the Strawberry Mansion Bridge he dropped to one knee and asked. It was perfect. 💍🌉💕
