How do I access the event?

Our event will be held in the Starting Gate Suites. You can park in either the Black or Green lots and enter through the Executive Gate. Please tell security you are here for our event at the Starting Gate Suites! For more information please visit www.churchilldowns.com/faq.

Parking at Churchill Downs is free and first-come first-served. Please inform parking attendants you are here for an event in the Starting Gate Suites and you should be able to park in the Black or Green lots which are closest to the Executive Gate where you'll enter! Are there restrictions on what I can bring to the venue?

What is Churchill Downs?

Answer

Churchill Downs is a historic racetrack in Louisville, Kentucky, best known as the home of the Kentucky Derby, one of the most famous horse races in the world. Opened in 1875, it’s an iconic venue in American sports, recognized for its twin spires, rich traditions, and role in thoroughbred racing history.

How do the races work and what will the event look like?

Answer

There will be a full schedule of thoroughbred races held throughout the afternoon. Each race features horses competing over a set distance, with time between races for placing bets, enjoying food and drinks, and soaking in the atmosphere. Our venue will have a place to view the races outdoors and an area where guests may pay to place bets if desired!

Do I need to pay for a ticket to the races?

Answer

Ticket price is included in our venue rental; no need to purchase a race day ticket. Just proceed to the Executive Gate and let security know you are here for our event!
