Meghan was an assistant manager working at Panera Bread. One of her employees, Victoria, explained that her brother had moved home from school and needed a job. Justin applied, and Meghan called him in for an interview. Typically, the General Manager did all the hiring, but he was out of town at the time, so Meghan was in charge that week. Justin came in for his interview, and immediately Meghan thought "Wow, he is cute!." He went over his work history and his love of breakfast food, and Meghan knew he would be a great addition to the team. Fast forward a few months and what started as some harmless flirting and workplace banter, blossomed into a beautiful relationship. While that job was just a small stepping stone to the careers they both have today, they can at least thank Panera (and Victoria) for finding each other at the perfect time in both of their lives.

Meghan and Justin's families planned a trip to the mountains for a New Year's Eve getaway. They got a beautiful cabin hidden away in the woods, and they were so excited for everyone to be together! Meghan and Justin were finishing up packing the car, and they were almost ready to go. Justin seemed like he was a little on edge, going in and out of the house like he forgot something. Meghan didn't really think anything of this, as he almost always went into "Dad" mode when leaving for a trip. He finally decided he had everything he needed, and they were on the road. They all arrived at the cabin, and everyone was in awe of how cozy and secluded it was. They made appetizers and sandwiches, and decorated the place for New Year's. At around 10 PM or so, Meghan started to complain that she had a terrible migraine, and it was really bringing her down. She went upstairs to nap it off, and this made everyone a bit nervous. What if she sleeps through the ball drop? What if she wakes up cranky? Unbeknownst to Meghan, everyone was in on the plan. Kyle kept everyone's spirits up with some games, and at around 11, Justin went upstairs to attempt to wake the sleeping beauty. To everyone's surprise, her headache was gone and she was in great spirits! *PHEW* Meghan started to distribute the champagne for the ball drop, and everyone got ready for the arrival of the new year. A few minutes before midnight, Justin said he had to run upstairs. Meghan was a little confused, as the countdown was just about to start. He came back down, and they all brought 2022 in together as a family. As everyone was sharing their New Year's hugs and kisses, Justin got down on one knee, and asked Meghan if she would marry him! She was shocked and to nobody's surprise, she said yes!
