Please RSVP by December 15th. We will be sending formal invitations before then.
The best way to get to Sayulita is to fly into Puerto Vallarta International Airport (PVR). Shuttles take approximately 45 minutes, and can be arranged if you request by Jan 15. Please see the travel page for more information.
We'll be there from Wednesday, February 27th to Tuesday, March 5th. We'll try and arrange for plenty of activities for those who want to hang out all week. There will be boat trips, beach hangs, some hiking and exploring, and plenty of food and drinks.
We'll be staying at Villa Valentin with friends in our wedding party. For a map of our accommodations and weekend events, please visit the travel page! https://www.zola.com/wedding/justinandlisa2019/travel
Absolutely! Sayulita is a very friendly and safe town. There have been no problems in the area regarding drug trafficking, etc. This town is super family friendly. Children, both local and tourist, play on the beaches, plaza, etc. As long as houses are locked, there are no problems with theft and we have had none.
Absolutely! Sayulita is very family friendly with lots to do. For the wedding/reception, we leave it up to you if you'd like to bring your little ones. If you're looking for good local childcare options, our coordinator suggests this company: http://www.sayulitalife.com/sayulita-childcare.
There are several ATM's at the Puerto Vallarta airport and in Sayulita (though they are less reliable). Before your trip, be sure to notify your bank and credit card companies that you will be using your cards in Mexico. Visa or Master Card is more widely accepted than American Express. Some restaurants and shops in Sayulita do not accept credit cards so it's always good to have a good supply of pesos on hand. You can exchange your money for pesos at the airport, but expect poor rates. Sayulita has several money exchange places and the rate is generally better. The best rate is at a bank through a teller or ATM.
The outlets are the same as in the U.S., nothing to worry about!
NO! We suggest you bring a reusable water bottle as most rental owners supply drinking water to their guests. We also suggest bringing a supply of Pepto Bismol or Imodium in case of tummy issues.
In March, temperature's average 75-85 degrees (24-30 celsius), medium humidity, and very little to no rain. Evenings are comfortable and cool, and average between 60-65 degrees.
The majority of people in Sayulita speak at least some if not fluent English, so it's rare that you'll run into any problems, but we do recommend learning at least a few greetings and common phrases! If you have a smart phone, the Duolingo app is free and very helpful!
From what literature is available, it looks like Zika virus is really only concerning if you are pregnant, or potentially thinking about getting pregnant very soon. The CDC website has lots of useful information (http://www.cdc.gov/zika/about/index.html) and we would also recommend speaking to your doctor or healthcare provider if you have questions.
