FAQs

The Wedding Website of Justin Halterman and Lindsay Lembo
Question

Is there a dress code for the wedding?

Answer

Formal attire encouraged — we recommend women wear midi or floor-length dresses and men wear a suit, dress pants, and tie. Please avoid white or cream, bright colors (reds, neon, etc.), loud patterns, and light blue (as our bridal party will be wearing this color). The ceremony will be held on a grassy area, so please choose footwear accordingly. Think classic, elegant, and timeless...

Question

Is the wedding indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Our wedding ceremony will be located outdoors facing the lake with a stone path, but grass surrounding the chairs. The cocktail hour will be on an outdoor patio facing the lake, the reception dinner will be in a tent, and then following guests will move into the large barn adjacent to the tent for dancing.

Question

What time should I arrive?

Answer

The ceremony will begin at 4:30 PM sharp; staff will guide guests to seats prior to start of ceremony so please plan accordingly. The pre-ceremony bar will open at 3:30 PM, so please feel free to arrive any time after that to hang out and enjoy the view of the lake while you wait for our ceremony to start.

Question

Are the ceremony and reception locations wheelchair accessible?

Answer

Yes! There are ramps to take for wheelchairs and there will also be a golf cart available to assist people between the ceremony and reception area if needed. When you arrive, look for a staff member to assist you. If you want us to provide your information to the staff prior to the event, please let us know so we can arrange accordingly.

Question

What will the weather be like?

Answer

Upstate, NY can have unpredictable weather! However, during the day, the weather in September normally ranges from the 50s-70s, but it may get cooler at night. Feel free to bring some warm layers for the evening!

Question

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

We have been thoughtful in inviting the people who are most important to us; however, if there is someone special to you that we missed, please feel free to reach out directly and we will inquire if there is space. Thank you for understanding!

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

While we love your little ones, we appreciate you making arrangements ahead of time and leaving the kids at home so you can celebrate with us! Thank you for understanding.

Question

I have a food allergy/dietary restriction... can I make a special request?

Answer

Yes! Our venue is very accommodating to food allergies and dietary restrictions. Please let us know on your RSVP and there will be a space on the food choices where you can specify your specific allergy/dietary restriction. Then at the venue, each guest will have a place card and if you have an allergy it will be specified on the card as well to ensure your allergy is taken into account.

Question

Will there be an open bar?

Answer

Yes! There will be a pre-ceremony bar open from 3:30-4:15 pm, as well as an open bar from the start of cocktail hour at 5pm until closing time at 10pm. There will be various beers, wines, and liquors available, along with our signature cocktails.

Question

Where Do I RSVP?

Answer

Once formal invitations have been sent, please RSVP here on our website. The "RSVP" tab will be visible and working once the invitations have been sent. You will be able to let us know your dinner choice, and any dietary restrictions.
