Best Man
Matron of Honor
Danielle and I met in 8th grade when, by a major stroke of good fortune, she came to Bentley and I was her assigned tour-guide. We hit it off immediately and afterwards agreed that the best event of the day and beyond was, by far, meeting one another. A passion for acting, and being very good at it, led Danielle to New York where she currently lives with her husband, Spyros, and beautiful daughter Octavia. You will see Octavia, my goddaughter, walking down the aisle as a flower girl! Danielle, after being godmother to Jenny May, honored me with the same role for her daughter. Along with being one of the best friends I can imagine, Danielle is outrageously funny. For a great laugh, follow her on Instagram @outofcontrolparental. Thank you for bringing laughter and strength to every event!

Casey and I met in high school at College Prep (thank you to all our other high schools friends who are joining us for the wedding!), and we have shared a close friendship through college, our 20's...and beyond! Casey and her husband Sean welcomed a beautiful baby girl, Sasha, to the world in April 2019. While I was busy preparing for dental school, Casey lived in Beijing for 6 years, co-founded China's first person-to-person micro-finance website, and in true "Casey" fashion, was named "Most Influential Foreigner In China" by China Newsweek, 2010. Casey, thank you for years of a beautiful, supportive friendship, and all you bring to the world!

Zia welcomed me as an immediate friend when I moved to North Carolina, attended for the second half of senior year, and graduated from, Chapel Hill High school. She and I were introduced by my wonderful godmother, Jane Holding, and spent much of our time at the Wilmington beaches, hiking and having long meals at Jane's house. We have stayed in touch over the years by exploring Mexico together, visiting at Slide Ranch, Ca where Zia worked for a year, and many cross-country visits. Zia and I have a mutual interest in patient care; she completed a nursing degree at John's Hopkins, worked at Duke, and is now at UNC for a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner degree. Your true kindness shows in everything you do Zia--thank you for being sunshine in my life for so many years!

Hilary and I met as freshman at Colorado College, both reluctantly convinced by others that we needed to join the tennis team. Journalism and English majors, respectively, we juggled pages of reading with scraping snow off the courts prior to practice. By junior year, Hilary and I were doubles partners and one another's main companion during hours of practice and traveling to matches. Hilary 's fierce competitive abilities are rivaled only by her incredible loyalty as a friend. Hilary, her husband Terry and two beautiful boys, Tyler and Ryan, live in Seattle, Wa where Hilary alternates between being a devoted mother and working as a NICU nurse. Thank you, Hilary, for so many years of dedicated friendship.

Amy, her husband Mark and three beautiful children, Amelia, Aly and John have come all the way from Michigan celebrate with us. She and I met during the especially tumultuous time that being a pre-med (or pre-dental) student can be. As a significant career change from flying the F-15E in the U.S. Air Force, Amy came to Oakland, specifically Mills College, to pursue her dream of becoming a surgeon. Amy completed her medical school training and is currently a surgical resident. Beyond being a mother to triplets and working daily to improve patient care, Amy brings empathy, compassion and her characteristic "We can do it!" attitude to everything she does. Thank you, Amy, for your friendship, humor and the daily inspiration that you are.

I was lucky enough to meet Julia, and her husband Zac, during a wonderful year of being pregnant with Jenny May and teaching horse back riding. Julia and I competed in the show jumping world around the same time, knew many of the same people but had yet to meet one another! We spent many late (and cold) nights at the barn, and Julia made sure that no horses ran over me when I was too large to do anything but waddle. She and Zac moved to Orange, Ca with their gorgeous boys Braydon and Cameron, where she imports beautiful sale horses from Europe. We own Zac, a veterinarian, many thanks for all the late night calls he has taken when Jackson eats chocolate cake or gets a foxtail in his eye!

Hiajaira and I met at the first dental office I worked in: it was my first day working as a dentist, and her first day working in the dental field. We had many laughs about how neither one of us really knew what we were doing, but we were having a great time all the same! We've both ventured on, but she is still running practices and a fantastic asset to anyone lucky enough to hire her. We live close to one another so get to enjoy dinner parties, SF nightlife and one another's day to day. Hiajaira organized a beautiful engagement party for us and has been beyond helpful in wedding planning! Thank you for all your kindness, support and positivity!
