We first met at Rumble, the boxing gym where Kristina was an instructor and Justin was a regular. From the very beginning, there was an undeniable connection — little conversations before and after class turned into moments we both looked forward to. Over time, Justin’s visits to Rumble seemed to grow more frequent (he still insists it had nothing to do with Kristina, though she’s not so sure). Finally, with two dozen roses and shaky hands, he asked her out. Our first date was dinner followed by a Daniel Caesar concert — an artist whose song would later become our song. That night, there was an immediate sense of ease and comfort. Justin was funny and confident, yet sweetly nervous, and the conversation never stopped. When he slid into the same side of the booth, Kristina thought it was unusual at first — but the way he instinctively reached for her hand felt like something he had been doing forever. From there, our love grew in all the little moments: introducing each other to our families, learning and growing together, and finding joy in both the extraordinary and the everyday. We became best friends, partners, and teammates.
