They met on Match.com and talked for a few weeks over email and text due to Justin being on a winter vacation with his friends. When he returned they went on their first date, A hike up Taylor Mountain! He was nervous, she was tired and hangover but they both committed to making it to the top. They talked and laughed the entire way up and once they made it to the top they took photos of the beautiful view. She had mentioned she was hungry, he offered her his protein bar, she said no because it would make her too thirsty. So they made their way back down but once to their cars, he said his goodbyes, leaving her wanting more and still hungry!

Justin told Kirsten that it was date night, he refused to tell her where they were going. All he said was get dressed and be ready by five. She had made a last minute nail appointment right before, Justin sat in the car nervous that she was on to him and knew what the night would unfold, she did not! They got closer to the restaurant and she knew that he was taking her back to their third date, Nick’s Cove. They sat down and ordered an appetizer, Justin looked out to the dock area and made his move “Lets go take pictures on the dock babe”. They were on the dock and she was telling him all these stories and he was trying to find the right time to get a word in but she wouldn’t give him a chance. He grabbed her arms and held them to her side. He got down on one knee and she went stiff and asked what was happening. “Kirsten I brought you back here because this is the date and place I knew I wanted to be with you, this is also the place I know I want to spend the rest of my life with you. Kirsten Tandy McCarthy will you marry me? She said YES!
