We ran into thousands of passing strangers during our time on college campus; neither of us expected to meet the love of our life, in the humble town of Tempe. We bumped into each other within the six hours of Justin moving onto campus. He instantly charmed me with his humor and left a lasting impression. Since the day we first met, we were inseparable. Our friendship then inevitably blossomed into a budding romance, but not without a looming issue. Moving forward with our relationship, we already knew we had the obstacle of long-distance with my study abroad semester in London. The rainy, cold days were made even gloomier for me, without being able to have Justin at my side. Once Justin visited me in London, I knew what we had was truly special and worth waiting for. Through every trial, we always come out together more strongly bonded, more faithful, and more in love with each other. It was always so significant that Justin would come visit Hong Kong, a home away from home, the place of my family's roots. Justin found the golden opportunity to make this trip even more significant by asking the most important question ever. Even though he knew the answer was a definite yes, Justin marched up the steep steps of the infamous Peak Tram, with knees weak and heart racing. After we arrived to Victoria Peak, Justin's nerves were palpable, while my family was ecstatic with anticipation. Getting down on one knee, Justin threw caution to the wind, poured his heart out, and asked his best friend to be his wife. For me, commotion around us stopped, and all that mattered was saying "yes" as soon as I could. Justin and I have seamlessly navigated every monumental life milestone together- graduating college through a pandemic, moving in with each other, tackling our first jobs, and adopting our precious fur baby, Missy. We met at the young age of 19 and now, we are ready to walk hand in hand forever together, towards the rest of life.
