Justin and I met through one of my best friends Mallory. She introduced us when we were at the Great American Ranch. After the first night of meeting we just couldn’t get enough of one another. Everything felt meant to be, we instantly fell in love with one another, and now after two and a half years of being together I couldn’t imagine life without him. He is simply my best friend, and I thank God everyday that we have eachother. Justin proposed on July 4th, 2020. It was the first day our families met each other at my mom and step dads house. I thought it was going to be a family cookout with pictures, but Justin surprised me when my mom was taking pictures of us in her backyard. All of our loved ones were outside witnessing Justin getting down on one knee while we danced to our favorite song beautiful crazy by Luke Combs. I remember I kept pulling Justin to get up because I was not done twirlling around. It was a pretty histarical moment! Then I realized that he was asking me to marry him!! I looked around at my family with a shocking look on my face not knowing what else to say...finally, I said YES! Later that night, I asked Justin why he picked July 4th to propose? He said “because I wanted to change it into a holiday where we turn over a new leaf moment and remember all the good we have in our lives, and Chad would have wanted that too.” This beautiful man of mine wanted to make July 4th a holiday that is filled with happiness and love all over again after losing my brother Chad on July 3rd 2008. I swear that day I felt like my brother was apart of it in spirit. It was perfect, and I feel beyond blessed to have shared our special moment with our families now combinded into one. 💕
