Jillian and Justin’s love story began their junior year at Montclair State University. Jillian had gone to Justin’s fraternity house for a sorority and fraternity mixer on a Thursday night, never expecting to meet the man who would one day become her husband. One of Jillian’s now bridesmaids introduced them and they hit it off instantly. Although lots of champagne was consumed, Jillian remembers being drawn to Justin’s warmth, his easy smile, and the genuine way he wanted to get to know her. Justin, in turn, was captivated by Jillian’s radiant energy, her effortless charm, and her ability to make him instantly smile. After that night, they kept bumping into each other at parties and on campus. Eventually, Justin asked Jillian out on a date, and in true college fashion, they went to Chipotle in between classes. The couple laughs to this day as they both would prefer Chipotle over a fancy restaurant, unless it’s Capital Grille, of course. From the very beginning, they shared a deep love for family and the Jersey Shore. Summers became their season as they spend countless hours in the sun, on the beach or boat, catching sunsets, perfecting cocktail recipes, finding new coffee boutiques, and of course, laughing and enjoying each other’s company. That very first summer together, they began a tradition that would become one of the most meaningful parts of their love story: visiting Willow Creek Winery in Cape May, NJ every June. For Jillian, it was a place steeped in childhood memories of family vacations to Wildwood and Cape May - a place forever tied to the love and warmth of her beautiful angel mom, her happy place. Justin fell in love with the tradition instantly, and together they embraced it as a way to honor Jillian’s mom each year. Fast forward to June 21, 2025. Jillian woke up bubbling with excitement for their annual Cape May trip. She told Justin she had a feeling it was going to be “the best day ever,” having no idea just how right she was. When they arrived at the winery, a host led them through the vineyard to a private spot. After seeing a beautifully set table with flowers, Jillian gasped as she turned to find Justin down on one knee. While happy tears and laughter was all she could get out at first, she said “yes” - and felt like the luckiest girl in the world. Since that day, life has felt even sweeter. They are giddy for this next chapter, ready to keep building a life full of love, joy, and traditions both old and new.
