We were both grabbing late night pizza after a night out with friends. We were both saving tables while our friends were in line grabbing food for us. I look over to see a random guy winking at me from a few tables over. Luckily, my roommate encouraged me to go say hi. Fast forward 4 years later, I randomly get a text message asking, "Hey! How are you doing?" After catching up with each other over text messages, he knew the way to my heart and asked me to join him at the Cowboys vs. Broncos game. Even though we almost lost our tickets walking into the game, it was all love from there on out.
Sticking with the Cowboys theme, Justin rode the wave of my excitement when the Cowboys won from a botched onside kick with just a few seconds left in the game. After the game I went into my normal Sunday routine of grading papers and lesson planning for the next week. He comes into the office letting me know he had cooked dinner. I joined him at the table to see my drinking glass turned upside down. When I flipped the glass over, there was a beautiful ring sitting under it. To top it off, he cooked us French toast, one of my favorite foods, and had Canadian maple syrup to go with it. I was in complete shock and asked several times if this was real before celebrating with all of our loved ones over Facetime.
