It was Izzy’s junior year and Justin’s sophomore year when their paths first crossed. Izzy was with her friend Frances, and Justin was with his friend Chris. One evening, when Izzy and Frances managed to lock themselves out, Chris came to the rescue—and Justin just happened to tag along. The moment Izzy saw him, she couldn’t help but think, Woah, he’s kinda cute! From that night on, the four of them built a friendship that quickly blossomed into something more. There were countless evenings filled with pickleball games, bonfires, and double dates—until eventually, those double dates turned into just the two of them, exploring each other’s hearts and growing a love of their own. On September 13, 2024, after a sweet date night in Holland, Justin asked Izzy to be his girlfriend—and she said yes, marking the beginning of a beautiful journey together. From that moment on, they’ve promised to love each other more deeply with every passing day, growing and learning side by side. On August 2, Justin took Izzy to Warren Dunes State Park, where he got down on one knee and asked the ultimate question—and Izzy said yes again! He chose the perfect spot on the side of a stunning dune and presented her with a gorgeous ring. As if that wasn’t enough, he also planned a surprise engagement party, bringing together their closest family and friends to celebrate the special moment. It was a day filled with joy, tears, laughter, and unforgettable love. We learned quite quickly how our love was special, intended as a purposeful gift from the Lord. Over this past year of our relationship, we have grown in our faith together, learned more about our characters, our hopes and dreams, and what it means to carry out a relationship rooted in Christ, fostering a connection so strong the world knows its a God-given gift.
