Bde Maka Ska is the largest in the Mpls chain of lakes. A great spot for walking, biking, paddle boarding or kayaking. The lake has swimming and sailboats, but is too small for motor boats. Check out Lake Minnetonka for boat rentals or other water activities!
Nestled in the Mill City Museum, the Mill City Farmers Market includes kids programming, yoga and a great list of vendors. The Market is also at the edge of the Mississippi River and at the start of some great riverwalk trails.
Though there are many awesome breweries around the twin cities, we love the outdoor space and food options at Surly. We also recommend Modist, Able, and Fulton.
Home of the Famous Juicy Lucy!
The Twin Cities have some great museums, one of which is the Walker Art Center. The Walker is home to the MPLS sculpture garden, an outdoor exhibit of modern art and home to the Cherry and Spoon. The Minneapolis Institute of Art is another great choice.
Two of the Groom's favorite things... 5-A-Side Indoor Soccer and Coffee Shop just blocks away from our venue. The Soccer Cafe is on the same block as the Minneapolis Cider Company - another fun drink and activity spot with cider and pickleball!
For the Prince fans, the musician's home and studio is about a 30 minute drive outside of the Twin Cities. You can book tours of the compound Thursday - Monday.
The best BBQ in the city is the Animales food truck. Home in Northeast, our other top restaurant recommendations include: Young Joni - Pizza Hai Hai - Southeast Asian Bar La Grassa - Italian (Lobster and soft egg bruschetta is a must!) Owamni by the Sioux Chef - Native American Martina - Mediterranean Sebastian Joe's - Ice cream!
One of the best latte's in the Twin Cities! The Bakery also offers great baked goods and breakfast sandwiches.
