a lifetime begins

It started on the first day of freshman year at Hastings High School in 2011. Justin saw Duyen in the breakfast line & immediately asked her cousin, who Justin was friends with- "who is thattt she's cute!!" From there, we became classmates, friends, and Justin even had a small crush on Duyen at one point. He took her to Sophomore homecoming, took her to lunch everyday, sat next to her in class, helped her with homework, and even jokingly asked her to marry him (there are still screenshot proof!!). Unfortunately nothing happened, we stayed good friends. Post high school graduation, Justin moved to Arizona for college. At the beginning, we would still hang out when he comes back to Houston during his breaks. Slowly, we lost contact, drifted, and 7 years flew by. In April 2022 as Duyen was just leaving Las Vegas, she saw Justin's Instagram story that he just arrived in Vegas. So she DM'ed him "you're in Vegas?? I literally JUST left". Just like that we missed each other by a missed opportunity, but was also the reason why we reconnected. In February 2023, Duyen & her cousins took a family trip to Arizona- where Justin joined & showed us around. First day into the trip, many many crazy things happened where Duyen realized she feels most safe & at peace while with Justin. You could say that this day was the first day we started officially dating. That same night Duyen told her cousins, "yall I think he's the one" and that's a wrap. Long phone calls, multiple trips back & forth between Houston & Arizona until Justin officially moves back to Houston. We decided on a lifetime together after Justin proposed in January 2025. With the blessings of our families, we got engaged in February 2025. A year later, February 2026, we got officially married. And here we are, November 07th, 2026 we will get to celebrate and share this journey with you all !!
