The reception and ceremony will both be held at Brewery Ommegang.
Basically, just look nice! Party dresses, dressy jumpsuits, dress shirts and slacks are all great options! Jackets, ties, and heels are all welcome, but not required. Novelty suspenders/bow ties are strongly encouraged. We do recommend that you have an outer layer like a jacket or a shawl for the ceremony in case it is chilly. For reference, the wedding party will be wearing suits with ties and long dresses.
We will have a trolley service available to and from the wedding, which will pick up and drop off at central locations since we anticipate most guests will stay in rental lodgings. We will determine what stops make the most sense once we get the RSVP responses. The stops will be Lake View Hotel, the Holiday Inn, The Best Western, and the Comfort Inn, with two loops being made (pickup at the Lake View Hotel will only happen in the first loop). You are also welcome to drive yourself to the wedding, with ample parking available at the venue. Just remember that Ommegang beers are high proof, so plan your DD accordingly
We already extended the option to bring an additional guest to those who we expect to bring someone. However, if your invitation does not include a +1 or if you are unsure and you would like to bring someone, reach out to us to check!
Your kids are more than welcome to join the fun! Just be sure to let us know in your RSVP that they will be attending with you.
Cooperstown is within driving distance for most guests. For those who are farther away and need to fly, we recommend that you fly into either the Albany or Syracuse Airports. From there you can rent a car to drive the rest of the way. Car pooling is strongly encouraged!
We will have an open bar with five tasty Ommegang beers on tap, as well as a selection of wines.
If you are feeling sick or having COVID like symptoms, please stay home. The ceremony and reception will both be taking place outside. We are not requiring masks at the venue or tests prior to the event. However, you are of course welcome to wear a mask if that makes you most comfortable.
Yes! We decided to get legally married at an intimate ceremony in DC's beautiful Rock Creek Park on October 15, 2021. So this event is technically our vow renewal/baller first anniversary party. While we loved our tiny wedding, we still wanted to be able to share the magic of the event with our close friends and family. So we decided to keep our original wedding plan on the books and get married (again!) at Ommegang with our friends, family, and baby Theo all there with us!
