Question

Where is the ceremony & reception taking place?

Answer

Both our ceremony & reception will be at the Palmetto Riverside Bed & Breakfast, a beautiful water-side historic mansion located at 1102 Riverside Drive, Palmetto, FL.

What is the dress code?

Answer

Black tie optional for our formal & glamorous evening wedding. For MEN - A tuxedo is preferred. A full suit with tie or bow tie is acceptable, but please, no denim or shorts. For WOMEN - A floor-length gown is preferred. An elegant midi dress is acceptable, but please, no body con or sun dresses.

Do you have suggestions for reasonable black-tie attire?

Answer

Check these online options for men's tuxedos: Men's Wearhouse, The Black Tux, or Menguin. Check these online options for women's gowns: JJSHouse, Rent The Runway, or LuLus.

What's our color theme?

Answer

Our wedding colors are dark green, sage green, champagne gold, gold, rose gold, peach & grapefruit. Feel free to match us!

What time should I get there?

Answer

Our ceremony will begin at 4:30 p.m but arrive a little early for a welcome cocktail & to check out the grounds!

Is there a hotel block?

Answer

Room blocks are reserved at the Downtown Historical Hampton Inn Bradenton & the Riverfront Courtyard Bradenton-Sarasota. We will have transportation from both hotels to our venue. Check the "Accommodations" tab for room block discount codes or reservation links. Please book your rooms before January 1, 2023.

Is there transportation to the venue?

Answer

The Siesta Key Trolley will provide transportation to/from Downtown Historical Hampton Inn Bradenton & the Riverfront Courtyard Bradenton to/from our venue, Palmetto Riverside Bed & Breakfast beginning at 4 p.m. And will provide return transportation from the Palmetto Riverside B&B back to the Hampton Inn throughout the evening after 6 p.m.

Can I bring my kids?

Answer

Sorry, no kids allowed - wedding shenanigans are for adults only!

Can I bring a date?

Answer

If your invitation envelope includes "Guest" then yes, if not, we are unable to accommodate an additional guest at this time.

What type of bar should I expect?

Answer

Before the ceremony, enjoy a his & hers welcome cocktail. After the ceremony enjoy an open bar cocktail hour followed by an open bar reception.

What type of food will be served?

Answer

We'll be serving a few light passed hors d'oeuvres during cocktail hour, followed by a buffet style dinner with steak/chicken options & sides. After dinner we'll end the evening with cake, desserts & coffee station. Please let us know by Dec. 30, 2022 if you have any food allergies or dietary needs/restrictions.

What time will the festivities end?

Answer

Reception will end at 10 p.m. per the venue & city noise ordinance.

What's your wedding hashtag?

Answer

We're not on social media so neither is our wedding. Please unplug during the ceremony, put your phone down & be present with us during our special moment. #unpluggedceremony

Is everything outside?

Answer

Our ceremony & reception are both outside near the water. Florida usually sees temperatures in the mid to high 60-70s in February, but expect a temperature drop after sunset around 6:30 p.m.

Can I bring a gift to the wedding?

Answer

Your presence is the best present, but if you wish to give us a gift - please send it to our home address (listed on our registry) or there will be a card box on a table at our wedding.

What's there to do in the area?

Answer

Check out some of our favorite places to go on the "Things to Do" page including indoor skydiving, the best coffee you'll ever have, & a few other things to keep you busy. If you haven't been to Sarasota before, there are six lifeguarded beaches (Lido, Siesta, Nokomis, North Jetty, Venice, and Manasota) & more than 150 parks and natural areas to explore.

Who designed our fabulous invitations?

Answer

Illustrator & designer Rebecca Pry created our beautiful wedding invitations! Brianne & Rebecca met in middle school & made it through high school on the varsity cross country & golf teams, & Art Honors Society together. Rebecca attended Rhode Island School of Design.
